| We left Toronto on Saturday (Feb 19th) morning, and arrived in Montreal 5 hours later. As my first trip in Canada, it wasn't that bad, but considering how much money we spent on it, it could be way better if well planned.
The most excited part about this trip is the food, surprisingly we spent almost 700 dollars on food only....so expensive. For Saturday Lunch, we ate at "Thursday Bar", it was really nice and for the first time, we were the only chinese people in a restaurant, it was a nice lunch. Saturday Dinner is the best French food I've ever had and expensive too (400 dollars for two people). We had a seven course meal, and 5 types of wines different for each serve. The place is called "Toque", which is the best french restaurant with a very famous chef (whose name I dont' remember anymore). The food is very delicious and creative, I really had a nice time despite the fact that we were the only two ppl that didn't dress up. We ate at "Chez Queux" for Sunday dinner, it's decoration is very old fashioned. The food is very good too, but cheaper than "Toque". I ordered the chef special menu without the wine (I almost got drunk last time), and in total we spent 175 dollars on this dinner. (The food is good as well, but not as delicate). The only thing I don't like about this dinner again is that fact that we didn't dress up, but this time is worse, cause a French old man kept looking at me like I am from Mars. The last meal we had in Montreal is at "Skate Frite", it wasn't a really fancy place, but the steak and fries are very different and tasty as well.
Other than food, the trip is just so so...lol.. we went to the Olympic part on Saturday, art museum on Monday (but it was closed), and we went to Notre Dame Church, it is really a great church!!!the first feeling when I got there is that I wanted to get married there.....lol.......Then we just walked about the old Montreal district, then back to Toronto. Btw, Montreal's subway runs on wheels, and they are very old, the subway station is very crappy. People there are very open, they T kiss in Tim Horton for 3min nonstop. That's it about the trip, just write down so I don't forget.
